Scripture reading: 1 Timothy 11-12(ESV)
But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
In our pursuit of God, obedience to the Word of God in our life is key. Without it, the enemy will frustrate us and make us think God’s promises and His words are not true. So many people have been held captive in their minds by the devil.
When Satan tempted Eve in the garden, he first took hold of the knowledge of God which was a key point in the life of Eve. He beguiled her thoughts and took her through this speculation that led her to sin.
As children of God, we need to keep the truth in God’s word rather than lofty opinions raised against the knowledge of God.
As Apostle Paul set before the church in Rome the history of man’s denial of God, he said: although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their foolish heart was darkened( Romans 1:21).
Beloved, take every thought captive to the obedience of God’s word and you shall gain access to the kingdom of God. Have a wonderful day!
