Scripture: Philippians 3:2-3(ESV)
Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God[a] and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh.
In our pursuit of God, the important thing you must reach out for is not depending on your ability to stand the test of this world. Another thing is you must glory in Christ Jesus and place your absolute confidence and trust in what He can do through you.
Paul’s reason for teaching this truth is to bring us to the place in our journey with God where we have no dependence on the flesh. The Apostle himself was from the tribe of Benjamin, raised under the law yet discovering the truth refused to live in the flesh.
Though he was an excellent man by measure of the law, that did not make him attain the righteousness of God.
Many people according to vain doctrines have become religious rather than seeking the truth. We are encouraged to seek the truth for that is the most essential thing we need as believers called in this end time.
Strive for the excellent Spirit of God that teaches all truth and brings us to the place of redemption. Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of salvation and for bringing me to your place of light. Grant me the grace to follow after you and empower me in your might in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
