Scripture: Genesis 2:16-17 KJV: "And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
We shared in our devotional that our pursuit of God must begin with loving God. Also, we learned how sin came as a result of disobedience. As a result of our exposition to death, Jesus came to deal with not just death but sin.
The Bible makes us understand that the only way God could save man from eternal death was for him to send His only begotten son to die in exchange for that eternal death. Jesus Christ took that death upon himself and he gave us a new life.
Beloved, this is made so clear in the book of (John 3:14 -15). The Bible says that just as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness, even so, must the Son of man is lifted: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Hallelujah! To be continued…
