Praying For The Evangelical Work

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:4(ESV)
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Jesus Christ said in Mathew 9:37, concerning the evangelical work we are sent on the journey to pursue, ” the harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few.” The harvest being referred to here is about the souls of men. The laborers are those reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ to win these lost souls into God’s barnyard.

For this reason, the body of Christ must pray and intercede for the harvest field, because the harvest is indeed ripe. Prayer is the first requirement in this evangelical work, without it we will yield no fruit and fail. As we pray and intercede for them, we speak utterances that bring about a conviction through the Holy Spirit into their lives.

If we would pray correctly and effectively as a team, our preaching will yield much fruit, Apostle Paul said, and my speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit of power”. I pray for you this day, as you take up the evangelical mantle, you would be empowered by the Holy Ghost to bring about a stirring in the body of Christ. Hallelujah!!!

Prayer:
Most Gracious Father, your love, grace, and your goodness fill the entire earth and your glorious presence shines brightly from nation to nation. Let the entrance of your word bring about great changes in the body of Christ in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
