Hebrews 4:12(ESV)
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
In our previous post, we came to understand that man is a tripartite being who is made up of three things: the soul, the spirit and the body. God’s word will become active in us when we become active in Him. The children of Israel fell from grace and as a result, fell away from the rest of God. For a man to fully participate in God’s full salvation, we need to be fully delivered from the kingdom of darkness and receive the ministry of Jesus with gladness and joy.
Anyone who becomes willing to follow Christ fully partakes and fully enjoys Christ. Pursuing the pleasures of this world, and material things and subjecting our will and emotions to this world will only result in conforming to the flesh. For you to fully come under the saving power of God, there is a need to turn away from the wickedness of this world and yield yourself to the governance of Christ.
Beloved, it is time for us to subject our members to the obedience of Christ who came to discern our thought and bring us back to the place of comfort and rest where there is no eternal damnation but where you have full capacity to receive eternal life and the blessings of God. Thank you heavenly Father for your word and for saving me. I ask that you help me to conform to the obedience of Christ in all I do as I subject my will to Christ in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
