Scripture: Mark 10:45 (ESV)
" For even the son of man came not to be served but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many."
As disciples of Christ, our highest calling is to a life of service. We have been saved to serve. We serve Christ when we obey His instructions, respond to His calls, and attend to His work with a sincere heart.
Generally, many people are more concerned about people serving them than serving others. Such people look for a church that will meet their needs and not one where they could meet other people’s needs and be a blessing.
Bible says in Luke 9:44-46, a reasoning arose among the disciples who was the greatest among them. Jesus knowing their thought said, He that is like a little child is classified as the greatest among them.
Beloved, as we grow up in christ, our strongest desire should be to meet other people’s needs and be a channel of blessing to them. Jesus’ answer brings the conclusion that children play the role of service everywhere they are. Always bear in mind that in Christ’s kingdom, we grow up to give out. For even the son of man came not to be served but to serve. Stay blessed.

Thank you, LORD God, for teaching me that service pays a higher piece in the kingdom. Help me to be of good service to this kingdom in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
