Galatians 5:17(ESV)
For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life are caused by the human power that causes men to walk in the flesh. Choosing God’s will shall cause you to walk in the Spirit. The Bible says we should walk in the spirit and we shall not fulfil the desires of the flesh(Galatians 5:16).
To walk by the Spirit is to have our walk regulated by the Holy Spirit from within our spirit. The flesh has always been the uttermost expression of the fallen tripartite man and the Spirit is the ultimate realization of the processed triune God. As a result of Christ’s crucifixion and the price paid on the cross, we can have constant touch with God.
Apostle Paul is sounding an alarm of remembrance to all believers to realize that we have the life-giving Spirit in us to help equip us and cause us to shine forth in every area of our calling. Human power always wants things that are completely different from what God has proposed for us. In all things, let us guide our hearts, and be ready to fulfill every desire of God. Hallelujah!!!

Glorious Father, thank you for giving me your Spirit that helps to shape my life. I freely submit my will to yours and I ask that you’ve your way in my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
