Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.
1 Corinthians 4:2 ESV
The word “steward” is from the Greek word “oikonomos” which is translated as a governor or an overseer. In the economy of the Christian Faith, a steward is referred to as a preacher of the gospel. We are appointed as stewards to the proclaiming and dispensing of God’s mysteries which are Christ as the mystery of God and the church as the mystery of Christ.
The principle of faithfulness is paramount in our journey with Christ and in our societies. Jesus has promised us in His word that ” He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much (Luke 16:10). One thing about being a faithful steward is that, God will place more demand on you and your reward will be so great in His Kingdom.
Dearly beloved in Christ, God rewards openly faithful stewards in His kingdom. There is always His constant supply of grace for whoever is found faithful in the ministry. Bible says the reward is that we shall obtain the crown of glory that fades not. (1 Peter 5:4). Be blessed in Jesus’ Name!!
Prayer:
El Shaddai, thank you for redeeming as part of the many who were lost. I pray that you help me to be a faitduk steward to the ministry and cause me to shine forth in all I do in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
