And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness.
Genesis 15:6(ESV)
Many people are going through diverse kinds of situations that have affected their faith system. The question many keep on asking themselves is to still have faith and believe in God’s promise. I’m sure if you were part of the servant of Abraham four thousand years ago, you would keep on stirring at your master and questioning another servant why this man had no child yet He held on to the faith and the promise of life God had assured Him with.
Don’t always justify the present happening around you with a quick conclusion. God had pushed Abram’s faith to the brink. It began when God promised this childless, seventy-five-year-old man, “I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you . . . and in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed”.(Gen. 12:2–3). Abram believed in God. Years went by and God did bless Abram with a child after God’s own heart.
Beloved, don’t be quick to conclude on whatever you may find yourself in. Bible says by no means! Let God be true though everyone was a liar, as it is written, “that you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged”( Romans 3:4). When life seems to be pushed to a brink, remind God of the new chapter He’s about to usher you into. Gaze into the sky, and envision what God is bringing into your life. It may not come at your time, but believe me, it will look so amazing in the end. May God help you and keep you!!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for being faithful to me. Whatever it takes, help me walk in a manner worthy of you and fully pleasing to you in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
