Mathew 20:26(ESV)
It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant.
The mother of Zebedee approached Jesus one of the days desiring greatness for her two sons( James and John). After a while, Jesus realized that she had little understanding and knowledge about God’s Kingdom. The perfect answer Jesus gave her was that He had no authority to decide who should sit on His right side and that on His left.
Christ gave the family a perfect answer. To bring correction to the hearing of His disciples and that of James and John, who may have heard the conversation, the Bible expressly write that He called them and taught them the way to greatness in His kingdom. The price of greatness is servanthood. Which is your ability to serve others rather than rule over others.
Many people especially in the body of Christ have been deceived. If you want to be great, you must learn to serve. Until you learn to serve, you cannot be a master. Do not be deceived, ministry isn’t run on a mathematical approach. Get closer to tutors and governors who have run the race and are still on the course. As you desire to be great, zealously learn the ways of the fathers, because service places a strong foundation for greatness in the kingdom. The peace of the Lord is with you!!!
Prayer:
El Roi, thank you for teaching me your way to greatness. Help me to pay the price to ascendancy in your kingdom and establish me on the right path to fulfill my purpose in Jesus. Name.Amen.
