Hebrews 4:12(ESV)
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
The phrase, “sharper than any two-edged sword piercing to the division of the soul and the Spirits of joint and marrow…” is teaching that as the marrow is conceived deep in the joints so the spirit is deep in the soul. The dividing of the marrow from the joints requires mainly the breaking of the joints, the same way the dividing of the spirit from the soul requires the breaking of the soul.
The believer’s soul, with its mind, its doubting concerning God’s way of salvation, and its considering of its interests had to be broken by the living, operative and piecing word of God that their spirit might be divided from their soul. In Matthew 16:24, Jesus said anyone willing to follow after Him must deny themselves and take up their Cross. The soulish life will never profit us if we don’t abandon the pleasures it gives.
Beloved God is a spirit and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24 ). The child of God can fully enjoy Christ and His grace in spirit and truth. Today it is required of every one of us to press on to fully partake and enjoy the Heavenly Christ who gives rest to all men by denying the works of the flesh and every thought and weakness of the flesh which does not glorify God in our bodies. Hallelujah!!!

Thank you heavenly, Father, for enriching my understanding of your word, thanking you for breaking me and moulding me for your use. Help me to be consistent in serving you Father and guide me for your use in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
