God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Every child of God should learn to worship God. The Bible says God is a spirit and all who worship Him must do so in truth and spirit. Jesus spoke this word to the Samaritan woman regarding her need to exercise her spirit to contact God’s spirits. This phrase means to drink the living water from the fountains of Christ. Christ Jesus is a fountain of life, for us to worship Him, we must contact this fountain.
Drinking the living water is rendering real worship to God. God has chosen our human spirit for habitation with the offering of thanksgiving and worshipping Him in truth and spirit. The Bible expressly says Jesus Christ is the cornerstone in whom we are being built together into a dwelling place of God in spirit( Ephesians 2:22).
Brethren in Christ, this offering typifies Christ who is the fulfilment and reality of all the offerings with which the saint worships God. Christ telling the woman to worship the Father in spirit and truth is to teach her that God is not based on a mountain or at one physical location but in our spirit-man. The reality of the gospel is that Christ is the fountain of life and without Him, there is no life. Hallelujah!!!

Thank you Father for teaching me the true way of worship. Acknowledge my worship and service as I worship you in truth and spirit in my heart. Guide me and spear my life in all I do in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
