Ephesians 2:8(ESV)
For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.
The finished work of Christ released Christ’s resurrection life to bring forth the new creation to fulfil God’s purpose. In the resurrection, He gave unto us a life of peace and abundance of joy. The finished work of Christ included the accomplishment of redemption, the termination of the old creation, the release of His resurrection life, and the displaying of Christ as a life that cannot be affected by death.
A person is saved by trusting in the finished work of Christ on the cross, and not by bodily sensations and religious exhilaration. A person’s salvation is not based on feelings. What Christ gives us is His inner comfort and peace. You will say, “What about feeling? Is there no place in saving faith for feeling?” We are not saved by it. You are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ which is God’s gift unto the church(Ephesians 2:8).
Beloved in the Lord, love is feeling, joy is feeling, peace is feeling. Love for others is a feeling. Concern for the loss is a feeling. But these feelings are not conversion. The one experience that you can look for and expect is the experience of believing in Christ. He came to redeem the church and make us children of the highest. You’re anointed to prosper in the Lord. Be blessed!!
Prayer:
Thank you, heavenly Father, for your gift of redemption, which does not fluctuate like my feelings. Keep me, mode me and make me a vessel that is vital for your use in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
