Psalm 119:9(ESV)
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
The world today is being drawn into a sea of sexual images and sinful attractions. Everywhere you pass there is temptation from the opposite sex that fills the mind and thoughts of individuals. The question to answer is: How do we stay pure and guide our minds from such thoughts? We cannot do this on our own except by the leading of the Holy Spirit and a constant study of the Bible.
Many of the difficulties we experience as Christians can be traced to a lack of Bible study and reading. We should not be content to skim through a chapter merely to satisfy our conscience. Hide the Word of God in your heart! A little portion well digested is of greater value to the soul than a lengthy portion scanned hurriedly. As God’s children, the only designed way to know the Father is when you study His map to catch up with Him, which is His word.
Beloved, do not be discouraged because you cannot understand it all. Go on reading. As you read, the Holy Spirit will enlighten the passages for you. Reading the Bible has a purifying effect on the heart and mind. It is good to study the Bible daily and every time of your life. Hallelujah!!!

Thank you heavenly Father for Your word today. Let the enlightenment of your word sink within me richly and cause me to shine forth in my hunger and thirst for righteousness in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
