Scripture: Titus 1:13(Recovery Version)
This testimony is true; for which cause reprove them severely that they may be healthy in the faith.
Apostle Paul was fearless and bold in executing his Kingdom roles no matter who you are. This letter is a continuation of vs 12 where Paul referred to the Cretans as liars, evil beasts, and idle gluttons. The burden upon his heart to establish God’s organic truth throughout the world after his imprisonment never stopped him from proclaiming the truth in God’s word.
These gainsayers and vain talkers were infected with doctrinal diseases and had become unhealthy in the faith. That which is not healthy does not nourish or heal. Teachings that do not heal result in death and poison the believer spiritually. Any preaching or teaching that distracts people from the center and go of God’s New Testament economy is not healthy and classified as a false balance.
Beloved, the goal behind this letter is to first rebuke, correct, and establish others on the part of God’s true word of righteousness. This will help all men to live according to God’s true purpose for their life. Bible says whoever rebukes a man afterward finds more favor than he who flatters with his tongue( Proverbs 28:23). May the Spirit of God be your guide as you journey to establish His truth throughout the nations of this world. Be blessed!!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to stay true to your will, forbidding myself from fictional diseases that place believers in bondage and abiding under the shadow of your wings in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
