Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Paul, a Preacher and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, called according to a Holy calling, was a good example when he said the body of Christ should “follow his example as he follows the example of Christ”.You may be quick to ask, how did Paul set good examples for the church?
Apostle Paul is a good example of God’s grace and the proper response to it. In his journey outside the will of God, he was a great persecutor and a violent man but when the grace of God located him, he gave up on the very things that were not right. Things which are not right should not be given attention to.
Christ Jesus displayed patience as an example for those who would believe in Him and receive eternal life. Paul wants us to indoctrinate the principle of not being afraid to come to Christ no matter what we may have committed outside the will of the Father. Beloved, it’s not too hard a thing for Jesus Christ to forgive you of your past. He stands at the door of your heart knocking, His goal is for you to receive life in abundance. You’re a blessing!

Eternal Father, help me to follow the ways of your son Jesus Christ as He became an example to the world that many may receive eternal life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
