John 16:33(ESV)
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
You should not expect the easy way, for if you do you are certainly destined for disappointment. Any person who knows the Bible knows that the Christian life is likened to an athletic contest or warfare, and neither one is easy. Jesus warned His followers to count carefully the cost, and that certainly does not speak of an easy way. But there is no good thing that comes without cost.
The Christian life is the most satisfying, but only when we go all out and all the way. It is the Christian who tries to compromise who finds life miserable, for he has all the problems, without the fellowship that comes through surrender. For every trial and test, Christ supplies an abundance of grace with which to bear it, and in our weakness, we are made strong.
Beloved, no matter what you find yourself in, be satisfied with whatever bread that the Lord put on your table. An easy life does not come with ease, with so much perseverance and endurance. All shall end well for your good. It will end well with you in your ability to heed God’s instructions. Never be intimidated. Look up to him, He’s the provider of all things. As you depend on Him, at His appointed season for you, all shall turn out for your good. Hallelujah!!!
Prayer:
Thank you Ever Living God for teaching me your word. Help me to be led according to your will for my life and cause me to shine forth in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
