John 2:2-3(esv)
And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.
The illumination of the gospel brings light to shine forth in our life. The Scripture above is further proof that the religion of law could not in any way help a blind man. The Lord Jesus, as the light of the world, imparted sight to him in the way of life. The way of life comes through God’s organic salvation which is the only way for a man to encounter God’s light.
Blindness like sin is a matter of death. A dead person surely is blind. The Bible writes in 2 Corinthians 4:4, the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Christ is the tree of life, if anyone wants this life, he must come to Jesus, the life-giver.
Beloved, Jesus has freed us from all manner of unrighteousness. The law was made for man, and not man for the law. Part of its reason was for man to enjoy with God and have rest. All good things are ordained by the Lord and for us to have the full enjoyment of them, we must come to an understanding of the beauty of His creation. Hallelujah!!!
Prayer:
Thank you, heavenly Father for making all things abound to my good. Help me to know your ways and walk in thy path. Shine in my path and lead me in all your ways in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
