Be Subject To Rulers And Authorities( The Book Of Titus).

Scripture: Titus 3:1-2(Recovery Version)
Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready unto every good work, to slander no one, to be uncontentious, forbearing, showing all meekness toward all men.

To be subject to rulers is to recognize God’s authority and to respect His government over man. Subjection to authority requires transformation which results from the growth in life. Apostle Paul’s words here imply that the church in Crete where he charged his son Titus as overseer put the people in remembrance to be obedient and respectful to every official who was on the land.

As Children of God, we should always keep in mind that in nature( before we became born again), we were the same as others, rebellious, not subject to authorities, quarrelsome, living in sin, and all the other fallen conditions before Christ saved us and showed us mercy. No matter how people may offend us, do well to sympathize with their pitiful life and pray for their salvation.

The phrase, “to the ready for every good work” is a call and an awakening message for the church to live a balanced life, act in patience, not quarrelsome, but a life full of peace. We are awakening this day to stand for the truth and live our life not as rebellious children but in a manner pleasing to God. May the Spirit of God help you, guide you and be with you. Be blessed in Jesus’ Name!!!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for your word. I pray that you save me, heal me from my past, and ignite your fire within me. Help me to live a balanced life and transform me to walk in your ways in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
