The Love of God – 27

Scripture: John 15:4 (ESV) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

We established in our devotional yesterday that when we abide in Christ as the branches, we are being cared for both internally by the life of Christ flowing through us and externally by the vinedresser who prunes us.

It is written in (John 15:1-2) Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. He cuts off every branch that does not produce fruit in , and he prunes every branch that does produce fruit so that it might produce more fruit”. The child of God must submit themselves to the prunning of the spirit.

You’re no longer subject to bitterness, anger, envy, and other works of the flesh. If anyone wants to experience this life in Christ and experience the fullest possible impact of the inner life in Christ, they must subject themselves to the prunning of the spirit. Be blessed somebody!

Prayer:
Merciful God, I’m grateful for the gift of life and the opportunity you have shown me. Help me to stand stronger and live to abide in you in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
