Scripture: Titus 1:4-5 ( Recovery Bible Version)
To Titus, genuine child according to the common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior. For this cause I left you in Crete, that you might set in order the things which I have begun that remain and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you.
Believers have been called according to the faith we gained in Christ. This faith gives us the ability to respond to God’s requirement, which is believing that Jesus is the Son of God, died for humanity, and is still alive making intercession for the saint. Giving unto us a lively hope and making us become partakers of His life. It is through this faith that we all received the zōē life.
This life has made us enjoy His grace, mercy, and abundance of peace. Paul’s instruction to his son Titus is a call to a unique role and responsibility to preserve the unique oneness of the body of Christ from damage. Many false prophets and teachers have risen in many parts of the world today, teaching many false doctrines and diverging people from the truth.
Paul’s instructions given to Titus to the Church in Crete also apply to believers and churches worldwide today. This will help us to maintain proper orderliness in the churches and stop the corruption happening in the body of Christ. God is counting on each one of us to accomplish this need. We are the branch and Christ is the true vine. Let us see the need for the Son of Man as ours. Out of this shall we behold His full glory and receive His full payment system in eternity. Glory to God!!!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the grace and mandate given to me as your child. Thank you for making me enjoy your grace, your love, and your abundance of joy. Help me to stand out for the great role and responsibility according to your work in my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
