Proverbs 23:19(ESV)
Hear, my son, and be wise, and direct your heart in the way.
There are certain acts the believer must abstain from. Those acts only invite demons into their lives without the knowledge of the victim. They yield themselves to the influence of demons through certain kinds of music, movies and others. For instance, people who visit pornographic websites only open themselves to demonic practices.
In Leviticus 18, God forbid the Israelites from looking at the nakedness of others. What do we see today? The influence of the world and content creation because of the love of money has increased the love of sinful practices in the heart of many. Jesus lives in you. By Believing in him, it means you’re no more a sinner but a righteous man. Why then should you be inspired to do certain wrong things?
As a child of God, protect yourself from all manner of unrighteousness. Bible makes it clear that the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the turn in unrighteousness( Romans 1:18). Feed on God’s word every time. As you keep on meditating in the Word, your heart is cleansed from all unrighteousness. Let your heart delight in all godliness rather than vain things from today. Prayer:
Eternal Rock of Ages, thank you for giving me authority and dominion over my flesh. My body, my mind and my Spirit are yielded to the Word and purified by the Word every day. Cause me to shine in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
