Overcoming Ungodliness and Unworthy Lust( The Book Of Titus).

Titus 2:12-13(Recovery Version)
Training us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in the present age, awaiting the blessed hope, even the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In our devotional yesterday we learned that the grace of God is God Himself in Christ as everything for the church. The appearance of the Son Jesus opened a greater door for the church to know God on a personal level. The grace of God did not only teach us about salvation but for us to find ourselves worthy before the throne of God.

Paul says as we come into contact with this grace given to us, we must yield our members to deny ungodliness. Which is the absence of the expression of God in our living. Paul in this letter also mentioned worldly lust which has to do with the expression of lust. As children of God, these two things should be denied for us to live a God-fearing life.

The church of Jesus Christ awaits the blessed hope and the appearance of the Son of man who will bring us into full sonship, the redemption of our body, and freedom of the glory of the children of God, for which we were saved. This is the hope of eternal blessing, a blessed hope in the eternal blessing, a blessed hope in the eternal life on which the church was established.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, your word teaches that ungodliness and lust of the flesh profiteth nothing. I ask that you help me deny every work of the flesh to stand this test of age in Jesus’ Name.Amen.
