Scripture:John 8:12(ESV)
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Living without Christ is to live in gross darkness, and confusion and be void of the glory of God. Light defines the direction and illumination of the world. No one can know himself outside Christ, it is only under the light of God that our true identity is revealed.
Jesus made a profound statement in (John 9:5) about who He is. He said that “while I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Your light will shine before the world if Christ is in you.
God’s light will cause you to see the fullness of His glory. His light makes us excellent and shows you who you are as a follower of Him. Whenever you are in Christ, Jesus takes your weakness away and reforms you in His strength. May the good Lord open your eyes to see and walk in His light from today!
Prayer:
God of heaven and the earth, your word says you’re the light of the world and we shall shine forth when your light is in us. Cause as to stand upright and lead us to fulfill our purpose in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
