He Who Serve Willingly Is Greater( The Book Of Titus)

Scripture: Titus 2:9-10(Recovery Version)
Exhort slaves to be subject to their masters in all things, to be well-pleasing, not contradicting, not pilfering, but showing all good faithfulness that they may adorn the teaching of our Savior God in all things.

Servants are people who have devoted themselves to the service of their masters. Apostle Paul did not encourage slavery, but edge masters to free their servants when their time is due. In this letter, he sees obedience as the highest pinnacle to servanthood. Without it, servants or bondservants have not been faithful enough to their basic roles.

Being obedient and subjecting yourself to your master will not only attract you with earthy rewards but accord you greater roles and responsibilities in the life of your master. Abraham was able to trust his servant in his old age, and ask him to choose from his native land rather than marrying a Canaanite won’t for his son Isaac. Jesus Christ encourages his disciples to serve, this shows how important service is to God.

In this letter, Paul encourages servant to be well pleasing which reflect a person’s successful performance in their duties before their master. Servants are to be trustworthy and faithful as the teaching of our Savior Jesus except from us. Our savior Jesus is not only Christ but the Triune God embodied in Christ. He’s the glory of our great God who is much interested in our character formation and way of doing things as His sons. May His countenance fall on you as you serve Him in your local church, home, work, and wherever you find yourself. Receive the grace of God to do exploit!!!

Prayer:
Gracious Father, thank you for enlightening me on the need to serve wholeheartedly. Grant me the grace to serve and act faithfully wherever I find myself in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
