Mathew 5:6(ESV)
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
The word blessed is from the word “makarios” which is translated as supremely blest and happy. The Bible says blessed are those who hunger for righteousness. Righteousness here denotes our being right in our behavior. As children of God, we need to hunger and thirst for the righteousness of God in other to be aligned in the ways of the Father.
If we hunger and thirst for righteousness, God will grant us the very righteousness we seek, this will help us to be satisfied in the Lord. The Lord shall give us whatever we deserve any time we walk and live in righteousness. There are so many people out there chasing worldly things and thinking out of it shall bring forth their happiness, which is not.
Happiness and joy come from God. We can only walk in it when we have made a constant desire to follow after righteousness. For us to fulfill the scriptures, we must be ready to sacrifice our all to the attainment of what God has designed for us to do. The Lord equips you this day to stand and walk in righteousness. Hallelujah!!!
Prayer:
Thank you Abba Father for making me supremely blest because I’ll forever walk in righteousness according to the leading of the Spirit. Shine forth in my heart and grant me the grace to walk in righteousness in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
