The Love of God – 8

Scripture: John 3:19 (KJV) - "And this is the condemnation, that light comes into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil."

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We came to an understanding in our lesson yesterday that, when John shared in the opening scripture that light came into the world, that light was the person of Jesus Christ. He came purposely to express the love of God, but in this context, he’s using Jesus as light.

John( the Apostle of Jesus Christ) is telling us that we can rightfully say (love) in the person of God came into the world and men loved darkness rather than the love of God. God brought in love to replace light because Jesus Christ is love.

Beloved in Christ, it is so clear here that light (which is Jesus Christ) came into the world and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. If you truly love God, if the love you have encountered (that is Jesus Christ) is the real or God kind of love in your heart, then you will not love evil nor darkness. Let us pursue light while it is darkness. Be blessed! To be continued…

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, your exposition of light in our life makes us overcome darkness. Make us strong and redeem us from every captivity and stronghold in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
