The Love of God – 21

Scripture: John 15:4(KJV)
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abides in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Jesus has given us the condition to enjoy eternal peace. We need to “first of all “abide in him”. This phrase according to John is an expression of his “love”. We need to abide in Christ Jesus to enjoy his love.

Our joy, peace, happiness, good health, sound mind, and everything good which (James1:17)spoke about is based on our scripture reading for today. This love according to John’s teaching is not something conditional but eternal with purpose.

The sovereign God is calling us to understand the place of love, without it, we are nowhere close to dwelling in him and he abiding with us. May the Lord cause you to understand his love which will bring about an increase in your life. Praise the Lord!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I pray that you will increase me in every form of ability to love and walk with you. Let my light shine before the world in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
