Romans 5:10(ESV)
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
The word “reconcile” literally means “bring into a changed relationship.” It means to bring together two parties who should have been together all along. The Bible speaks of the human race as enemies of God. You may say that you are no “enemy” of God, but according to Scripture, we are either passive or active enemies of God, apart from Christ.
Reconciliation means “brought back into full relationship and fellowship with God.” This is what Christ accomplished on the cross. What a thrilling thought!! The love that caused Christ to die is the same love that sends the Holy Spirit to live in us every day.
The power that raised Christ from the dead is the same power assured that, having begun a life with Christ, you have a reserve of power and love to call on each day for help to meet every challenge or trial. This is the Lord’s assurance unto us. We are indeed saved according to His act of mercy. Hallelujah!!
Prayer:
Thank you heavenly Father for your word. Thank You, for forgiving all the past and giving me strength to live each day in your power. Help me and strengthen me in all I do in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
